Seward County has won eight of its last nine games, and on Saturday night, won its 20th game for the 16th straight campaign. The Lady Saints completed the season sweep over Garden City C.C. with a 64-58 win on homecoming at the Green House. Sophomore All-American Tegan Cunningham scored 14 points while breaking the Seward County all-time record for career points scored (1,281). Cunninghamís first bucket in the second half broke former Lady Saint Jamie Talbertís previous record of 1,274. Talbert was a First Team NJCAA All-American in 2000 for SCCC, and later played on the University of Oklahoma womenís basketball team that finished as Runner-Up at the 2002 NCAA Final Four championship game.

The Lady Saints have dominated the overall series against Pratt since 2000-2001 with a perfect 17-0 record. During this period, SCCC is 8-0 at the Green House, 7-0 at the Beaver Dome in Pratt and 2-0 on a neutral court in Region VI play. Last season the Lady Saints knocked off Pratt 100-63 at the Beaver Dome. In the two previous meetings, Seward County has out-scored Pratt by an average of 39 points per game. In fact, the Lady Saints have held Pratt to below 40 points in their last two meetings.

Pratt enters Wednesday with a 5-9 conference mark. On Feb. 16 the Lady Beavers pulled off perhaps the biggest upset in Jayhawk West play this season defeating then-No. 23 nationally-ranked Hutchinson C.C., 63-57 at the Beaver Dome. Besides their victory over Hutchinson, Prattís other four conference victories have come against Butler C.C., Dodge City C.C. (twice) and Colby C.C. who have a combined 23-59 overall record (.280). Sophomore Elisabeth Friesen (8.9 ppg., 7.6 rpg) is currently seventh in the Region VI in total rebounds, and sophomore guard Sasha Crosby is leading the Lady Beavers in scoring averaging 11.5 points per game.
