The National Junior College Athletic Association released their Top 20 volleyball poll today and Seward County Community College made it back into the national poll with a No. 14 ranking. Following a 5-1 week with victories over previous No. 10 ranked Northeastern Colorado J.C., and Casper College, McCook C.C., Colby C.C. and Lamar C.C. the Lady Saints pick up their second national ranking of the season. Seward County joins Jayhawk West opponents Barton County Community College (No. 10) and Hutchinson Community College (No. 15) in the Top 20 poll. Seward County’s only loss last week came against Western Nebraska Community College (24-1), who remains ranked the No. 1 ranked team in the nation.

Freshman Dan Yang continues to rank near the top of several national statistical categories including second in the NJCAA in kills (286), second in kills per game (5.5) and 16th in total aces (37).

Freshman outside hitter Jelena Simic is also receiving national attention ranking 20th in the NJCAA in kills (205) and 23rd in the NJCAA in aces (36).
