Seward County Community College women’s basketball players Taushelle Rushing and Chontaye Walter have announced they will sign national letters of intent on Thursday afternoon. Rushing, a sophomore guard will sign with NCAA Division I University of Missouri-Kansas City, and Walter, a freshman guard will sign with NCAA Division I Oklahoma State University. Rushing, Walter and the Lady Saints basketball program will hold a press conference on Thursday, April 26 at 2:20 p.m. in the SCCC All-American Room, located on the campus of SCCC. Rushing will sign with the Kangaroos who participate in the Mid-Continent Conference and are located in Kansas City, Mo. Walter is signing with the Cowgirls who participate in the Big 12 Conference and are located in Stillwater, Okla.

All media members, SCCC Boosters, and Lady Saints basketball supporters are encouraged to join Taushelle and Chontaye as they make their decisions official on where they will play in 2007-08.
