The National Junior College Athletic Association released their Division I baseball Pre-Season Top 30 poll on Friday afternoon. The Seward County Community College baseball team received a No. 17 national ranking, and was the only Jayhawk West team who received a Top 30 ranking. Earlier in the week, the Saints were voted by conference coaches as the No. 2 pre-season pick in the Jayhawk West Conference. The Saints are scheduled to begin their 2007 regular season on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Clarendon College for a 1 p.m. non-conference doubleheader at Bulldog Ballpark in Clarendon, Texas.

SAINTS BASEBALL NOTES:- Saints have been ranked nationally in 13 of the last 15 years
- Seward has 13 NJCAA All-Americans since 1993 (more than any Region VI program)
- 71 current or former SCCC players have been selected in the last 14 MLB Drafts
- Saints have had 22 NJCAA Academic All-Americans the past seven years.
