The Seward County Community College baseball and softball programs have announced that both of their originally scheduled doubleheaders for Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Clarendon College have been postponed due to inclement weather and road conditions. The Saints and Lady Saints will now have to wait until later this week to play their respective season-openers.

The Saints are now scheduled to open their season on Saturday, Feb. 17, against Clarendon College for a 1 p.m. non-conference doubleheader at Brent Gould Field in Liberal, Kan. The baseball doubleheader at Clarendon will be rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m.

The Lady Saints will open their season this weekend while competing in the Cowtown Classic in Fort Worth, Texas. Seward County will play three games on Friday, Feb. 16 against McLennan (TX) Community College (9:30 a.m.), Blinn (TX) College (12:30 p.m.) and Texarkana (TX) College (5 p.m.). The Lady Saints opponents on Saturday have not yet been determined. The softball doubleheader at Clarendon will be rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.
