The Seward County Community College men’s basketball team will host Northern Oklahoma College-Enid on Friday, Nov. 10 at 6:00 p.m. in a non-conference basketball game. The Saints continue non-conference action at the Green House after going 2-1 in the Pepsi Classic last weekend. Free tickets for Friday night’s game will be available all week in Liberal at Community Bank and the north and south Pizza Hut locations.

Seward County came out of the gates strong this season with two convincing wins over Sterling College J.V. (101-64) and North Lake College (88-52). In last Saturday night’s Pepsi Classic finale, the Saints were defeated by Odessa College 90-86, in a hard fought game that came down to the final minute of regulation.

The Saints have been led by sophomore Theron Wilson, who is averaging 24.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in the opening three games of the season. Wilson scored a career-high 28 points in the Saints loss against Odessa. Against North Lake and Odessa, Wilson tallied 20 first-half points. The Jets are 2-1 overall this season with victories against Vance Air Force Base (102-65) and Oklahoma Christian University J.V. (92-43). Northern Oklahoma has a roster that includes six players that stand at 6-foot-5-inches or taller. NOC head coach, Greg Shamburg, is in his 6th season with the Jets and owns an 82-75 (.522) career record at NOC-Enid.
