The Kansas Adult Education Association named Amandria Hartnett as the 2014 Outstanding ABE/GED adult learner. She is a student at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School’s Colvin Adult Learning Center, which offers Adult Basic Education courses and testing for the Kansas State High School Equivalency Diploma. She received the award at the KAEA Conference/Business meeting in Wichita recently. Criteria for this selection is based upon overcoming difficult circumstances, supporting others in the program, displaying leadership qualities and showing improvement in one’s life or the life of others.
