The Business and Industry office at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School will offer a beginning Ceramics course called “Get Your Hands Dirty,” 6-9 p.m., Mondays, Feb. 10-May 5.

Marla Fisher, USD 374 art teacher, will teach the basics of working with clay on the wheel and through hand building. Students will create craft bowls, mugs, vases and more and explore surface treatment such as texturing, slip work and glazing.
Fisher has been teaching at USD 374 Sublette for six years at the middle school and high school. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Art Education and started her career in teaching at the Elementary level in Sublette for 24 years. In 1996, she received her Masters of Science Degree at Kansas Newman University.
