One cutline; three photos. Use what you want. Over 50 former alumni and employees of Liberal Area Vocational-Technical School and Southwest Kansas Technical School attended an alumni and friends reunion sponsored by Seward County Community College/Area Technical School. LAVTS opened its doors 45 years ago. Later the technical school changed its name before merging with the college in 2008. The luncheon was followed by tours of updated facilities. Sharen Keating, former Health Occupations and High School CNA instructor, and Barb Smith, former Medical Assistant instructor, browsed a scrapbook of old photos from the technical school.

Robert Gittinger of Kismet, former Automotive Machine Shop instructor at LAVTS, toured the Machine Tool Technology classroom. He answered questions along with Machine Tool Instructor Butch Garst.
