The Seward County Community College volleyball team is on campus and is getting ready for the 2006 season. Before any action took place on the court, the 2006 version of the Lady Saints along with Head Coach Bert Luallen, Assistant Coach Alana Miller, and their athletic trainers and student-managers took on the Seward County Community College Challenge/Ropes course.

The Lady Saints experience on the challenge/ropes course included low and high elements which demanded teamwork and leadership from all of their players, who for some, just met each other before climbing walls and balancing on ropes together. The challenge/ropes course session was taught by SCCC instructor Greg Scruggs.

Seward County’s volleyball roster this fall includes returning sophomores Dana McLaren (Frontenac, Kan.), Juliana Nascimento (Guarulhos, Brazil), Janete Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Brazil), and freshmen Katy Troutman (Broken Arrow, Okla.), Kaytlyn Dutton (Lubbock, Texas), Jenny Schwier (Perryton, Texas), Jazmin Hernandez (Liberal, Kan.), Alex Droogsma (Denver City, Texas), Trisha Keahey (Meade, Kan.), Jennifer Noel (Valley Center, Kan.).
