It was Seward County green and white all over the Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week awards this week as Deverell Biggs was named the Men’s Basketball Player of the Week in the conference’s final week of the season, Troy Owen was named the Baseball Player of the Week after the Saints series win over Cloud County, and Bianca Adame and Jill Dickson swept the Player and Pitcher of the Week awards on the Softball side of things with their big performances this week.

Seward County sophomore Bianca Adame had 20 hits for the Lady Saints this week, posting a .645 batting average and putting up multi-hit games in 7 of the Lady Saints 9 games. Wednesday against Clarendon she went 3 for 4 with an RBI and a stolen base in a Seward win and backed that up with a 5 for 6, 3 RBI double header against Lamar the next day. In the Pratt Tournament she hit .647 and had triples in three straight games. She finished the week with 4 triples, moving her into the school’s All-Time single season Top 10 triples list in just one week.
Jill Dickson did it all for the Lady Saints this week, throwing 3 complete games and also coming out of the bullpen for a pair of wins. She was 4-1 on the week and posted an incredible 28 to 4 strikeout to walk ratio.
