Following a banner year in which they won a Jayhawk West Conference Championship, a Liberal Sub-Regional Championship, and a Region VI Championship before finishing 6th at the NJCAA Juco World Series, the Seward County Saints Baseball team will open its title defense season with a #14 National ranking next to their name.

The Saints were 46-20 a season ago and return 10 players from their World Series team including 7 starters and 3 All-Conference selections. Seward was chosen as the top team in the Region and is joined by only one other Jayhawk Conference school in the poll in #20 Neosho County. Opening the year on top is Central Arizona, while defending National Champions Navarro start at #6.
Seward County will open its season on February 4th at home in a good early season test against the top team in Region IX, the Lamar Runnin’ Lopes. The Saints and ‘Lopes double header will begin at 1:00 at Brent Gould Field and can be watched live HERE.
