Seward County Community College athletic fans have the pleasure of hearing one of the top announcing voices at all SCCC home volleyball and basketball games at the Green House. The rest of Kansas is now starting to enjoy what all Saints fans have enjoyed now for the last nine years.

Jon Armstrong, Director of Admissions at SCCC and public address announcer for all Seward County C.C. volleyball and basketball home games, was invited to be a public address announcer at this yearís Region VI menís and womenís Basketball Tournament at Charles Koch Arena at Wichita State University.

Armstrong announced a total of eight games at this yearís tournament including the menís and womenís championship games.

Earlier this season, Armstrong was recommended to the Wichita Sports Commission by a Jayhawk West Conference referee who worked a game at the Green House and heard the impressive presentation that Armstrong performs at each Saints home game.

After making a strong impression for four days announcing the Region VI Tournament, the Director of the Wichita Sports Commission asked Armstrong to be the public address announcer for a Womenís National Basketball Association (WNBA) game that will be played at Koch Arena.

On Saturday, May 6, the voice of the Saints will be announcing the Washington Mystics and the San Antonio Stars for a pre-season 7:00 p.m. game at Charles Koch Arena.

Armstrong is also the public address announcer for the Liberal High School football team and has announced at track and baseball events for local area college and high school teams.
