After sweeping the KJCCC Weekly Baseball awards earlier in the week, Seward County Saints players Jordan Dallalio and Willy Gustin have been given another honor, this time by the NJCAA. Dallalio was named the NJCAA National Player of the Week after hitting .550 for Seward last week while Gustin takes home the NJCAA National Pitcher of the Week award highlighted by a pair of gutsy efforts for the Saints in the Colby series.

Seward County’s 5’9” sophomore second baseman, Jordan Dallalio, brought his offensive game this past week in six games for the Saints. In twenty at-bats, the Carrollton, Texas native recorded 11 hits and four walks. He also accounted for 11 runs and four RBI’s, hitting an impressive .550 average at the plate. His best game came against Colby when he went 3-of-4 with two runs and two RBI’s.

Willy Gustin, Seward County’s 5’9” lefty, came up big for the Saints this week, throwing out of the bullpen three times in six days. On Saturday against Colby, the Aurora, Colorado native pitched 3 2/3 innings of relief and allowed only one hit and one run. On Sunday versus Colby, Gustin stepped up and tossed a perfect 9th, 10th, and 11th inning to pick up a win as the Saints pulled off the extra inning victory. Gustin allowed only two hits and zero walks in the three games.
