Seward County sophomore point guard Jeremy Jones wrapped up the Jayhawk West Conference Championship this week as well as the conferences scoring title during West action, and now he has another honor headed his way as it was announced today that he has been named the Jayhawk Conferences Player of the Week for his performances in the two Seward County wins last week. Wednesday against Garden City Jones scored 17 points, had 6 assists, and 5 rebounds while the Saints clinched the conference title outright and backed up that performance with a 21 point night on 6 of 11 shooting in the Power Plant against Butler on Saturday evening. Jones finishes his only year in the Jayhawk West as the leading scorer in conference play at nearly 20 points per game and also finishes in the top 5 in assists and free throws made.
