Students in Art Appreciation classes at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School created their own action paintings that are now on display in the Shank Humanities Building, 1801 N. Kansas. The exercise gives students first-hand experience with creating art and helps them understand how difficult this process can actually be. The concept is based on the artwork of Jackson Pollock. Instructor Dustin Farmer said he wanted to educate his students in the process of creating and displaying the works that are created by an artist and help them understand that the final product isnít the whole concept.
