For an incredible 5th time in her career Seward County Lady Saints middle hitter Sheina Fernandes has earned KJCC Player of the Week honors. This time Fernandes was named the POW after a career high 24 kill performance on Tuesday leading the Lady Saints to a victory on “dig pink” night and she followed that up with a 9 kill, 9 dig effort in a loss to Colby in the Community Building. Fernandes averaged over 4 kills per game on the week for the Lady Saints and had a hitting percentage of .416. Fernandes will hope to start off her defense of her player of the week honor strong tonight when the Lady Saints play a pivotal conference battle against Barton at 6:30 in the Greenhouse.
