When the Seward County Lady Saints host the Dodge City Lady Conqs Tuesday night in the Greenhouse, it will be more than just a crucial Jayhawk West Conference Volleyball match that will be on the line. Tuesday will be the Lady Saints annual “Dig Pink” Breast Cancer Awareness night where the Lady Saints will be raising funds and awareness for a disease that claims the lives of over 50,000 women per year.

The Lady Saints will be wearing pink all over their uniforms Tuesday night from warm up shirts that will feature a pink Seward County Volleyball logo to pink ribbons and shoelaces for the event. The Lady Saints encourage all fans attending the match to wear all the pink that they can find and create a virtual “pink out” in the normally green Greenhouse. Breast Cancer Awareness facts and named of loved ones who currently have, have survived, or have passed from this disease that effect over 150,000 women on an annual basis will be displayed in the gym and will be announced over the pa system throughout the match.

Donations for breast cancer research will be collected throughout the night at the concession stand and mail in donations are also welcome. The action on the court will start at 6:30 as the 4th place Lady Saints take the floor against the 2nd place Lady Conqs.

If you have anyone that you would like recognized or remembered Tuesday night, please contact Roy Allen at roy.allen@sccc.edu or 620-417-1553 before 4:00 pm on Tuesday.
