January 26, 2010 - Seward County Community College/Area Technical School will continue to expand its relationship with the University of Kansas’ Osher Lifelong Learning Institute by offering an excellent trio of classes for the Spring 2010 semester.

WWI-The Great War: Myths and Reality
February 4, 11 & 18 2010, 7-9 p.m.
SCCC/ATS Hobble Academic Building, Room AA137

This course will examine the war and some of the main topics of contention that emerge: the causes, the trenches, gas warfare, ignorant generals, pre-war thinking, and others. The course is offered by video conference through Nicholas Murray, D.Phil. Dr. Murray teaches in the Department of History at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
Cost is $35 for one course.
