While he may not be putting up the huge individual numbers of some of his teammates, Jon Tassin continues to be the model of consistency for the 22nd ranked Seward County Saints this season and for his efforts, the Saints sophomore has been named KJCCC Player of the Week after helping Seward to its 9th and 10th straight wins last week.
On Monday the Pontiac, Michigan native scored 8 points and had 5 rebounds in a win against Colby before turning it up a notch Wednesday against Raleigh’s Finest, scoring 14 points and grabbing 5 boards. In the Saints first loss in nearly two months Sunday, Tassin tried to keep Seward afloat against Dodge City, scoring 19 points and picking up 3 rebounds in the defeat. The 6’8 wingman is averaging just over 10 points and 4 rebounds per game this season for the Saints and is 2nd on the team with his 56% shooting percentage as well as his 39 steals on the year.
Tassin and his Saints return home tonight to take on defending Region VI Champions Garden City where it will be Jon Tassin poster night in the Greenhouse with tip set for 8:00.
