After leading her team to a perfect 4-0 record over the weekend, Seward County sophomore outside hitter Daiane Souza has been named the KJCCC Player of the Week. Souza was a model of consistency over the weekend, recording at least 2 kills in all 14 games for Seward.

The script couldn’t have been written up much better. The Seward County Lady Saints struggled some in their opening match win of the Lamar Kick-Off Classic against Dodge City but turned things on from there and after beating Otero and Lamar, finished the weekend with a three set sweep over powerful Laramie County to finish the tournament 4-0 as they roll into conference play this week.
