One hundred seventeen children attended Kids College this year at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School. Children enjoyed a variety of activities and over 35 class choices.

Howard Drilling Co. of Beaver, Okla., recently drilled a simulated well bore that will be used as part of the field lab for the new Corrosion Technology program. The simulated well sight will consist of the well bore, a gas production unit, a 300-barrel stock tank, and a meter run. The program is now accepting students into the program that begins. Aug. 15. Seward County Community College/Area Technical School will offer a Concealed Carry class through Business & Industry from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Saturday, July 23 in SU214 E/W, 1801 N. Kansas in Liberal.
The cost is $100 per class and is the mandatory training that is required to carry a concealed handgun. Students must bring their driverís license to class. Lunch is not included.
