The Board of Trustees for Seward County Community College/Area Technical School met for its regular meeting Monday evening, April 4, 2011. Vice-Chairman Ron Oliver expressed the Board’s congratulations to Dr. Duane Dunn, SCCC/ATS president, for receiving the Liberal Chamber of Commerce 2011 Merit Award; and to Elva Morales, SCCC/ATS Citizenship Instructor, for being selected as one of five recipients in the nation to receive the 2011 American Association of Community Colleges Outstanding Alumni award. Morales will receive her award on April 11 during the Annual AACC Conference in New Orleans.
