The Seward County Community College Board of Trustees Monday approved an increase in the dormitory costs for the 2006-07 school y ear, but did not increase tuition rates for the fall semester. The board approved an increase in the dormitory rates for the 2006-07 school year from $1,950 to $2,000 for double occupancy and from $2,200 to $2,250 for single occupancy. These rates include a 19-meal per week/per semester food plan. The increase would provide a minimum of $16,500 per year to cover increasing occupational costs, such as electricity. Tuition, however, will remain the same for the 2006-07 school year. In-state tuition and fees will be $62 per credit hour, border county tuition and fees will be $72 per credit hour and out-state and international tuition will be $85 per credit hour. Seward online will remain at $86 for tuition and fees.
