Seward County Community College/Area Technical School is inviting the public to a come-and-go brunch, 11:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m., Sunday, Feb.9, in the SCCC/ATS Student Union, 1801 N. Kansas, Liberal.
The cost is $7 per person and includes student entertainment.

The Business and Industry office at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School will offer a beginning Ceramics course called “Get Your Hands Dirty,” 6-9 p.m., Mondays, Feb. 10-May 5.

When former Saint Bobby Doran’s phone rang last Wednesday, his conversation with Houston Astros Director of Player Development, and former 12 year Major League veteran Quinton McCracken, started as most chats between the two had. A quick update on Doran’s offseason workouts and small talk, but this conversation would end differently and better than any dialogue the two had had in the past.

SCCC/ATS Foundation endowment donors and scholarship recipients recently attended a dinner prior to the winter music concert at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School.   Pictured are, from left, Ricardo Nava, Nancy Allen, Perla Hernandez, Dr. Ray Allen, and Evelyn Brownlee.   Ricardo, a 2013 Liberal High School graduate, received an instrumental music scholarship from the Ray and Nancy Allen Endowment fund, and plays the euphonium in the SCCC/ATS Concert Band.  Perla, a 2013 Liberal High School graduate, received the Presidential Scholarship from the Bill and Leona Scantlin Endowment fund.  Endowment funds provide a perpetual source of scholarship funds for SCCC/ATS students. The National Association of Biology Teachers is proud to award Todd Carter the 2013 NABT Honorary Membership.
