The Seward County Community College Board of Trustees met Monday, February 6, 2006 to review policies, discuss the progress toward the new North Central Association accreditation model, and review administrative staff performance and contracts.

The college has received the results of the conversation day report compiled as part of the Academic Quality Improvement Program in which the college is now a member through NCA. All employees participated in this opening day and offered their input regarding the college's strengths and weaknesses. During the next few months, SCCC will prioritize the recommendations and develop four to six recommendations into action projects, said Cynthia Rapp, dean of instruction. These final recommendations will become the foundation that a team will take to an AQIP Strategy Forum in May. The results will allow SCCC to focus energy and efforts in specific areas as it begins its first year of participation in the AQIP accreditation model.
